Amanda Morgan
Miss Continental Jr. Teen 2008

Amanda Morgan is 12 years old. She resides in Farmington, CT, with her family, and is in the 7th grade at West Woods Upper Elementary School. Amanda’s hobbies and interests include cheerleading, playing lacrosse and soccer, dancing, skiing, playing her violin, caring for her dogs and cats, and hanging out with her friends.

Amanda is a member of the First Church of Christ Congregational Church in Farmington. She is an active participant in supporting the Farmington Food Pantry, which is a church sponsored community outreach program.

For the past four years, Amanda has attended Danscapes School of Music and Dance. She enjoys dancing, and has studied tap and jazz.

At the age of eight, Amanda began studying the violin, playing classical music. Three years ago, she became interested in fiddling. She has played with the Bristol Old Time Fiddlers, and currently studies under Calley McGrane, of Calley McGrane and the Exiles. Amanda has performed at many events including weddings, fund raisers, Irish festivals and local concerts.

Amanda established a neighborhood pet sitting service, and has enjoyed watching this service grow for the past two years. She cares for dogs, cats, birds and fish. She also enjoys caring for, and playing with her two Yorkshire Terriers, Lucy and Charlie; and her two cats, Sallie and Pumpkin.

Amanda is a graduate of John Casablanca School of Modeling. She hopes to someday pursue a career in modeling. Also included in her future ambitions are becoming a veterinarian or pediatrician. Some of Amanda’s greatest pleasures include caring for children and animals.

Amanda appreciates and values her family and friends. She enjoys spending time with her two nieces, three nephews and her mom and dad.
