Kristyn Andrade
Miss Continental Jr. Teen 2007

Kristyn Andrade is in the 8th Grade at Shelton Intermediate School. Kristyn lives with her parents and little brother, Nicholas in Shelton, CT.  

Kristyn is active in school and in the community.  She also started a fund with the Children Tumor Foundation ending Neurofibromatosis through research c/o Kristyn Andrade Family Fund and is also supporting Fernando’s Fund c/o Spinal Muscular Atrophy in memory of her cousin Fernando De Andrade Jr. who died from SMA at the age of 3 months old.  She is currently organizing a kick-a-thon to support The Children Tumor Foundation and plans to assist in fund-raising events for Fernando’s Fund.

Kristyn has been dancing since she was 2 ˝ years old at Stratford Academy of Dance, where she studies tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, vocal and modern and very involved in her competition team.  She also attends Bushi Ban where she studies Martial Arts.  She also enjoys being with her Girl Scout – Troop 47, shopping, and hanging out with her friends.

Kristyn is also very active in her church community.  She is a member of St Joseph Parish in Shelton, CT.  She attends religious education in preparing to go into the Confirmation Class and is assisting the Director of Religious Education.

In the future, Kristyn hopes to go to college and plans to be an elementary school teacher as well as own her own dance studio.  She loves working with children.
