Courtney Lynne Smits
Miss Jr. Teen America 2010

Home State:   Georgia

Talent:   Spokesmodel
Age at Competition:  13

2009 -- Jr. Teen Division

Courtney’s interest in pageantry started around age 8, with the hopes of most girls – to become a supermodel!  Along the way, Courtney has been blessed with many opportunities, both on the runway and in print.

Her main interest, however, is her organization, co-founded with a friend, called Queens For Courage.  Courtney raises support and awareness for Wounded Warriors through her foundation and works closely with the American Legion Heroes To Hometowns Program.  Her cause is close to home as both her father and stepfather have prosthetics due to injuries received while serving on active duty in the Army.  Courtney’s mom is retired from the Army, and her brother, Trevor – her biggest fan – plans to join the military upon graduation from college.   Courtney’s work earned her the prestigious Prudential Spirit of Community Award – and she represented all Georgia middle school students at the National Convention.

One day, Courtney hopes to become a professional bakery chef with her own TV show.  Until then, she is quite happy supporting our troops and pursuing her dreams of becoming a supermodel!
