David Sledge
lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Ryn, and their son, Jeremy. He attended Nashville State Technical Institute, BelmontCollege, and Vanderbilt University where he studied Business, Computer Accounting, Political Science and Music Performance. His interest in music led him to perform with the Nashville Jazz Ensemble and the Nashville Symphony.David is a sixteen year Veteran of the Armed Forces with a Honorable Discharge from the Army. Since 1988, David has played an active role in shaping the lives of young people. He has been a Youth Director for a Nashville church, a member of the Nashville Baptist Association Royal Ambassador Council, Chairman of the Parade of Flags, and a State Brotherhood Trainer with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. He has been a Leader in the Boy Scouts of America since 1997.
As a volunteer with the Foresters, David has held the position of Chief Ranger, Past Chief Ranger, Editor, Regional Councilor, Member of the International Working Group, and a Chairman of Bowling For Miracles for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network.
David has worked with the Miss Teen America Pageant since 1999 as the liaison for the pageant to Nashville businesses, media, and scheduling appearances. David is also the official Auditor for the Miss Teen America national pageant and joins the staff this year as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
