Miss Kentucky Teen America
Issue of Concern: I created this organization at the age of 13 to raise awareness for childhood cancer. In promoting my charity, I plan to bring attention to childhood cancer by donating coloring books and crayons to bring smiles to the faces of children who are hospitalized. After the passing of my grandfather, who lost his battle with cancer, I knew that I needed to do my part to ease the minds of those battling cancer while raising funds to find a cure. Since its creation, Coloring for a Cure has collected and donated 25,000 coloring books/crayons/art supplies to Norton Children's Hospital and other cancer centers, sent out Smile packages to hospitalized children in states all over the United States and even Canada! This charity has given me so much joy and made me realize just how important each day is. My community has been such a huge support in making this all possible and made me very passionate about finding a cure for cancer!
I am currently working on publishing my own coloring book to be sold in children’s hospitals around the United States with all proceeds going to the hospitals to help with art therapy for children.
Ambition: I plan to pursue a career as a pediatric dentist. My big sister Makayla has autism and visiting the dentist is very scary for her. To ensure that special needs individuals never have to fear these routine visits, I will cater my practice to them by making them feel safe and welcome! I also plan to continue my work with my charity “Coloring for A Cure” with Gena Blair Inc. raising awareness for Childhood Cancer. My next personal goal Is to finish my own non-profit coloring book that will be sold in Children's hospitals around the United States starting with KY. I am in the planning and fundraising phase of this project and plan to finish it in 2018.
Hobbies: Barrel racing, holding fundraisers for my charity; Coloring For A Cure with Gena Blair, baking, and trying to become the next Rachel Ray by experimenting with food and learning nutrition.
Favorite Foods: Mexican Haystack
Favorite Quote: “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

What question do you hope the judges will ask you? What makes me a good fit for the title of Miss Teen America, along with how I started my Charity, Coloring for A Cure. It would allow me to tell them the qualities that I possess that could help me be a great titleholder for the organization and how I have used those qualities to collect and donate of 25,000 art supplies to children hospitalized with cancer.
In your reign as title holder, how would you serve as a role model for children? In your reign as title holder, how would you serve as a role model for children? As a role model, I feel that you should always be approachable and down to earth. I would be an advocate for young women by teaching them that they are most beautiful when they are just being who they are and letting them know that if I can achieve my dreams, they can too.
