Katarina Kneer has always had a passion for pageantry, which is why being named the Miss Teen America 2011 was the biggest blessing she's ever received. Katarina is making it her duty to benefit her title to the best of her ability, and is involved with multiple organizations to help her do so.
She will be traveling to various middle/high schools throughout the tri-state area to make speeches about her issue of concern: bullying, as part of SISFI (Social/Societal Intelligence on Abuse, Bullying, Suicide & Domestic Violence). She has already begun her collection of shoes for the organization "Soles4Souls", which benefits the population of underprivileged communities by providing them with shoes. It is her goal to collect 1 million shoes, and she is accepting any and all donations! Katarina is also the Youth Coordinator for END DWI, in which she makes students aware of the consequences of underage drinking/drinking and driving.
Aside from giving back to the community, Katarina loves being involved in her high school. She is part of the National Honor Society, Junior Class Council, Peer Leadership, Big Brother/Big Sister, Fashion Club, and Bridges Program. Katarina's dream is to become a psychiatrist, as well as a successful actress and model. She is excited to finish out her Junior year with a 4.0 GPA, and begin her college search! Katarina is very thrilled about her year ahead as the newly crowned Miss Teen America, and all of the opportunities that lay ahead!
